About the Office of Academic Affairs (OAA)

Dr. Robert Myers is the Vice President for Academic Affairs. He is the person responsible for the quality of OWU's academic programs and represents faculty members' interests and concerns to the President's Cabinet. He develops academic budgets, is involved in faculty recruiting and hiring, and attends to the academic concerns of students. To contact Dr. Myers, email rmyers@okwu.edu. Dr. Mark Weeter is the Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs. If you have an academic question or issue that your professor can't help you with, first take it to your Academic Advisor or the Student Advising Center. If you need further assistance, Dr. Weeter is the man to talk to! Other parts of his job include being the lead person in planning commencement and assisting with hiring new faculty (quality control). He is also a professor in the Division of Religion & Philosophy. Cindy Riffe is the Administrative Assistant to Dr. Bob Myers. She assists Dr. Myers and Dr. Weeter with their jobs. She is a graduate of OWU's Adult & Graduate Studies business program.
